More than 1000 IT Experts from all over the world to
converge at Pune, Maharashtra
INDIASOFT
2011, the largest IT global networking event in India, to be held in Pune, Maharashtra
between 25th to 26th
March 2011 will be a proactive
exercise to further strengthen the ICT sector in
the State and to assert its growing image as an ICT hub.

According to ESC’s reckoning,
many tier two & three cities across the country
and especially in Maharashtra including Pune, Nasik, Kolapur,
Nagpur can have a head start in the development of the
IT sector because of availability of
the right technical
manpower, proximity to Mumbai, latent entrepreneurial
capabilities of the people and importantly the proactive
and visionary leadership of the political administration,”
says Mr. Sunil Vachani, Chairman, Electronics and Computer
Software Export Promotion Council (ESC).
INDIASOFT
2011 which is entering it’s 11th edition, is
sponsored by
the Ministry of Commerce & Industry
and the Ministry
of Communications & Information Technology, Government
of India.
Around
350 software & services buyers from over 75 countries,
besides a host of renowned Indian companies, at this business-to-business
(B2B) partnering forum are expected at the INDIASOFT
2011. Business delegations from USA,
UK, Europe, Middle East,
Japan,
China, Korea,
Latin America, Africa,
CIS, ASEAN region etc will be participating in INDIASOFT
2011.
INDIASOFT
2011, seeks to improve the visibility of the Indian
software industry
especially, the SMEs and the start- up companies in the
global IT market. The focus would be on business services, e
security, finance, banking, Insurance, manufacturing,
education & training, embedded software, animation, packaged software,
and many more innovative technologies. Several IT entrepreneurs will use INDIASOFT
2011 a platform to launch innovative IT products &
services.
Dwelling further on the advantages of Maharashtra as a potential IT hub, Mr. D K Sareen, Executive Director, ESC. said that
Maharashtra is recognized as a knowledge state on account
of the large number of engineering colleges, polytechniques,
other technical institutions. Increasing presence
of many corporations cutting across sectors is a testimony
to growing importance of Maharashtra,
particularly Pune which is the home to a large
number of software services companies.
“Comprising
of International Exhibition and Conference, INDIASOFT
2011 is meant to facilitate joint ventures, collaboration
and strategic alliances for outsourcing with overseas
buyers,” says Mr Sunil Vachani, Chairman, ESC, adding
that the event will provide participants an opportunity
to broaden their vision and tap the emerging global markets.
To
facilitate participation of large number of developing
countries in the event, an innovative program of “120
hosted buyers” from Latin American, African, ASEAN
and the CIS countries, has been put in place whereby ESC has invited
chosen delegates from these four regions to attend the
exhibition and conference. This exercise will give them
exposure about the IT capabilities of Indian IT industry.

Nigeria, Ghana,
South Africa,

first time, the Council will be hosting 130 IT Buyer Delegation from US, Canada, UK, EU,
Middle East, China, Japan, Korea etc.

Sareen said that INDIASOFT
2011 is an event designed to project India’s
IT capabilities in the tier 2 & 3 cities which are
keen to work with their counterparts in new & emerging
markets. It will also highlight that Indian Software industry
possesses unmatchable quality software & services
to offer.
